Building Followers of God
Our Mission
-
One
To worship God and bless Him, not only in our service but in our daily lives.
-
Two
To reach the people of Wyesham and beyond with the love of Jesus; sharing the good news of the Bible; helping and blessing those in need both locally and beyond in whatever way we can.
-
Three
To build followers of Jesus in their understanding of and relationship with God, so that their lives are a beacon to the community around them.
Our History
In 1952, John Roberts established a Brethren-based fellowship in his Wyesham, Monmouth farmhouse, with seven others attending the initial meeting. This church grew, notably focusing on children's programs, and relocated from the farmhouse to the 'Chicken Hut', to the 'Granary' until settling in a new building in 1982.
Over the following decades, we have engaged in community outreach, sharing Christian teachings and collaborating with local churches for events like Easter plays and community weeks. We have also initiated support programs for individuals battling addiction and technological challenges, provided free Christmas lunches for the solitary, and supported Ukrainian refugees with English lessons and a collection point for aid. Presently, the church hosts a Food Pantry and various community activities throughout the week. As part of our mission we give help to those struggling with addiction, loneliness and other needs.
Today, the Church is an independent evangelical fellowship and is open most days of the week with various community groups running, to meet the needs of the community around us.
